There I’ve said it, and I mean EVERY word. “No gravity” is what “Not of this earth”/“Surfing with the alien”/“Flying in a blue dream” were for the 80s: ◆ Virtuosity/flawless technique/unparalleled skill/unrivalled dexterity: Check, check, check and check! ◆ Unforgettable songs and melodies you’ll remember for the rest of your life ✔ The latter has EVERYTHING I could possibly wish from a guitar-oriented record (and not only). Kiko’s melodies are full of effortless sweep arpeggios and precision staccato phrases showcasing his flawless technique while still remaining catchy and interesting. That’s the most fitting description I can give to both Kiko Loureiro as a guitarist/composer and his first solo effort “No gravity”. Nobody fuses Metal with Latin music quite like Kiko and if you’ve never heard an example of this kind of Fusion before this is definitely the track to listen to. The track “El Guajiro” really illustrates Kiko’s South American roots using percussion instruments and rhythms to lay a foundation for an awesome juxtaposition of Metal guitar rhythms. You can hear Kiko recording some of the parts for this track in the video at the bottom of the page as well as some of the complete track. There are some very memorable tracks on “Sounds of Innocence” such as “Reflective” which has had me humming the main theme for days, Kiko is not afraid to use lots of space in his melodies which is what makes them work so well, he doesn’t crowd the tracks with a million notes and maybe this is something that he has inherited from his Brazillian musical background. This album has a little less of the South American musical influence compared to his previous album or at least the influence comes through the music in more subtle ways, I would say it is more straight ahead rock/metal this time around. “Sounds Of Innocence” is the latest solo album from Brazilian guitarist Kiko Loureiro featuring 10 tracks (well 9 plus a 40 second acoustic intro called “Awakening Prelude”) of instrumental rock infused with Latin rhythms and harmony creating a unique style of shred. oR83UXsA52fvdKPLgQ8.Vg3JXI- has been confirmed Track | Start | Length | Start sector | End sectorġ0 | 38:06.07 | 3:21.73 | 171457 | 186604ġ1 | 41:28.05 | 6:30.51 | 186605 | 215905įilename D:\Kiko Loureiro - (2012) Sounds of Innocence (VICP-65059) \01 - Awakening Prelude.wavĪccurately ripped (confidence 2) (AR v2)įilename D:\Kiko Loureiro - (2012) Sounds of Innocence (VICP-65059) \02 - Gray Stone Gateway.wavįilename D:\Kiko Loureiro - (2012) Sounds of Innocence (VICP-65059) \03 - Conflicted.wavįilename D:\Kiko Loureiro - (2012) Sounds of Innocence (VICP-65059) \04 - Reflective.wavįilename D:\Kiko Loureiro - (2012) Sounds of Innocence (VICP-65059) \05 - El Guajiro.wavįilename D:\Kiko Loureiro - (2012) Sounds of Innocence (VICP-65059) \06 - Ray of Life.wavįilename D:\Kiko Loureiro - (2012) Sounds of Innocence (VICP-65059) \07 - The Hymn.wavįilename D:\Kiko Loureiro - (2012) Sounds of Innocence (VICP-65059) \08 - Mae D'Agua.wavįilename D:\Kiko Loureiro - (2012) Sounds of Innocence (VICP-65059) \09 - Twisted Horizon.wavįilename D:\Kiko Loureiro - (2012) Sounds of Innocence (VICP-65059) \10 - A Perfect Rhyme.wavįilename D:\Kiko Loureiro - (2012) Sounds of Innocence (VICP-65059) \11 - Conflicted (Playback Version).wav Used output format : User Defined EncoderĬommand line compressor : D:\Program Files\FLAC\flac.exeĪdditional command line options : -8 -V -T "ARTIST=%artist%" -T "TITLE=%title%" -T "ALBUM=%albumtitle%" -T "DATE=%year%" -T "TRACKNUMBER=%tracknr%" -T "TOTALTRACKS=%numtracks%" -T "GENRE=%genre%" -T "ALBUMARTIST=%albumartist%" -T "ALBUM ARTIST=%albumartist%" -T "COMMENT=EAC Secure Mode, Test
